museums and museum professionals to share knowledge and expertise"
The Museums Association of the Caribbean 2018 AGM Fellowship Programme is a professional growth opportunity that provides financial support for Caribbean-based museum professionals at any stage of their career to attend the MAC Annual General Meeting and associated conference. The goal of the fellowship is to promote greater inclusivity of museum professionals working in underrepresented regions and/or marginalised museums and cultural heritage sites.
MAC’s 29th Annual General Meeting will take place within the International Museums Conference (6-10 November, Bridgetown, Barbados) which is organized as a partnership between MAC, the EU-LAC-Museums project, and the University of the West Indies (UWI). Beyond the MAC AGM, this federated conference will contain multiple keynote lectures, paper sessions, evening receptions and cultural tours. The conference will take place in Bridgetown, Barbados, at UWI Cave Hill. The conference aims to bring together professionals and students working in or on museums and historic sites from across the globe to address the ways in which museums conceptualize communities and communities engage with museums for the benefit of all.
Applicants for the 2018 AGM Fellowship Programme must be first-time attendees or not have attended the MAC AGM in five years or more. Application materials may be submitted in English, Spanish, French or Dutch.
The travel fellowship award includes:
